Oak Alley Plantation Excursion with the Rebirth Workshop Crew

Are you arriving early to PartnerCon? Looking to get out of the city for a bit? Join Chris Williams, Sarah Hodzic, and Will Jacks on a day trip down the River Road to visit some of the south's finest plantation homes. We'll do what we do best - wander a few forgotten roads; explore some out of the way places; share stories, thoughts, and ideas, and create a few images along the way. After returning to New Orleans we'll all meet for dinner and share some of the work we created and stories we learned. We'll provide the transportation, meals are Dutch Treat. And be sure to bring your film!

    Limited to 12 people.

Meet at the Astor Crowne lobby at 9 AM Sunday, November 7. We will eat lunch at one of the plantation homes and return to New orleans by 4 PM. After a few hours to rest and edit your work, we'll meet for dinner around 7:30 to share our work and reminisce about the day.

Visit Uptown and the Garden District with the Rebirth Workshop Crew

By streetcar of course! We'll stop along the way to explore the nearby neighborhoods, sharing with you some of our favorite spots and interesting stories of the area. We'll eat lunch somewhere along the way, and create a few images to boot. And, as always, don't forget your film!

We will meet in the Astor Crowne lobby at 9AM on Monday, November 8 and jump on a street car out front. We'll stop for brunch somewhere along the way and return to the hotel around 1PM. After a few hours to rest, we'll meet around 4PM to review images of the day before heading to the official Pictage Opening Reception in the Astor Ballroom. We'll take care of the streetcar. Starting Out Right: NOLA Intensive! with Jason Aten

Coming to PartnerCon? If so, come a little early for this extra opportunity to build your business! This is not a typical workshop. It's not a seminar. If you're looking for a day of learning more about your camera and shooting pretty models - this isn't for you.

This workshop is based on solid principles to help you grow your business.

Jason brings a background in management and marketing from working at as an executive at a Fortune 100 company, and the experience of starting - and building a successful boutique studio based in the midwest. Jason's studio serves clients nationally and internationally.

    We'll cover:

    • Knowing Your Numbers

We'll start by helping define your goals. Using that as the foundation, we'll get a grip on the numbers—including pricing, budgets, cash flow, expenses, and more.

    • Marketing and Brand Strategy

Developing a brand—and a marketing strategy to support that brand—are key to finding the right clients. We'll go through best practices in marketing and brand development—so that you'll leave with key principles you can put in to place immediately.

    • The Client Experience

The relationships you develop with your clients are about more than smiles and smooth talking. We'll cover how we walk our clients through from inquiry to completion—and how we start the cycle over. Our goal is to build clients for life.

    • Setting Up Systems For Success

You only have so much time, and we often find ourselves spending it on things that barely help us get by—and DON'T help us grow our businesses. We'll talk about how developing efficient systems can help set your business up for real growth.

The Pricing and Packaging Hyper Intensive by Jared Bauman

A comprehensive consulting session designed to get your bookings on track. Very few photographers realize there is a strategy to pricing themselves, and thereby make mistakes when trying to book clients. Beyond this, though, there are different ways to approach "sales" in your client consultations. Many photographers sell out of fear, or habit, rather than from their heart.

Using the common methods of pricing, Jared will guide you in tweaking your pricing for maximum revenue. And, even more importantly, he will provide expert guidance on the method you should use when selling. This an HYPER focused version of Jared's standard Pricing and Packaging Session, and it is ONE-ON-ONE!

    Structure

    Session (1.5 hours)

    • Discussion of current packages
    • Discussion of what's working and not
    • Discussion of future goals and preferred clients
    • Establishing your Sales Pitch
    • Discussion of future packaging and pricing

This session is $250 and is only available throughout Pictage's Partner Conference in New Orleans (November 9, 10, 11). Once reserved, we will contact you to find a preferred time to meet.

    NOLA Family Portraits Shoot

Join us in photographing family portraits for those that lost their photos and albums in Hurricanes Katrina, Ike & Gustav, as well as families that have been financially impacted by the Gulf oil spill. The event will take place from 12:00 noon-6:00 pm (divided into two 3-hour shifts).

Thousands of families from New Orleans and the Gulf Coast states have been left homeless, with many of their personal belongings destroyed by the devastation of the hurricanes. A large majority of these families lost what could arguably be their most valued treasures—family photographs. In addition, numerous families were just recently impacted by the Gulf Oil Spill, losing income and the ability to make ends meet.

In response, we'll be providing hundreds of families with charitable mini portrait sessions as part of PartnerCon New Orleans! With YOUR help, all families will be provided a CD of their images the day of the shoot, along with a package of assorted prints delivered to them a few weeks later. This is your opportunity to play a direct role in making a big difference in the lives of others, while simultaneously enriching your PartnerCon experience.

We're seeking 100 attendee volunteers to make this charitable shoot a success. Reserve your spot now!
