Frequently Asked Questions

I have multiple keywords for each of my images; will these images be uploaded multiple times?
No. Your images will be uploaded only once and will be placed in the category specified by your selected keyword (when using the "Pictage-Keyword" syntax) or the first keyword (arranged alphabetically).

For example: Image 1 has keywords: preparation, Pictage-bride, posed; image 2 has keywords reception, dance. Once the event is online, image 1 will be placed (and will only be) in category "bride" because the user added "Pictage-" to the keyword. Image 2 will be placed (and will only be) in category "dance" because alphabetically, "dance" has priority over "reception."

How are RAW files handled?
RAW files are automatically converted to JPEG prior to upload.

I don’t remember my FTP login, how do I obtain this information?

Please call Customer Experience by dialing (877)-PICTAGE

When installing the plug-in on my PC, the installation process seems stuck. Am I doing something wrong?

The PC version of the plug-in require that you install Microsoft .NET. The .NET installation will take several minutes and may seem unresponsive. If installation does not succeed, please restart your computer and try again.

I see a "Watermark" option within Lightroom, should I select it if I want my images watermarked on Pictage?

No. The Lightroom and Pictage watermark options are different. If you want your images watermarked, login to Pictage and select "No" for the Remove Watermark option within "Studio Preferences" under the category "Event Preferences."

Why don't I see the event that I had created using "Schedule An Event Now?"
Make sure that when scheduling your event, you select the photographer that you are logged in as within the Schedule Event "photographer" dropdown.

When I click on the Schedule Event button, my browser launches but does nothing. Why is this?

Certain legacy Pictage members may experience this issue. To have it resolved, please call Customer Experience by dialing (877)-PICTAGE and provide us with your Studio ID.
