An Exhibition of Art
In dreaming up an idea for this month's meeting, we decided (thanks to a little inspiration from a friend) that we wanted to change things up a bit and do something that would encourage, challenge, strengthen and refresh us as artists as we move into a new year. We couldn't think of any better way to do this than to have a live print exhibit!
If you'd like to participate, please print and mount/frame up to three of your favorite prints from a wedding or portrait shoot. Feel free to title your prints or add a little description to go along with your print. Please do not put your name anywhere on the print and/or title card. Everyone in the PUG is encouraged to participate (and we hope that you will!), but we do ask that you try to arrive by 6:30pm if you are contributing prints so that we can set everything up before 7.
We will begin with silent, personal reviews on cards, and then move into an open discussion of the images, focusing on attributes such as exposure, emotion, composition, lighting, intention, etc. At this time, the photographer will have an opportunity to talk about their image, if they so desire.
Please keep in mind that attending a PUG meeting is a privilege of Pictage membership, and if you would like to attend a meeting, you must be a Pictage user, be interested in Pictage membership or attend as a guest of a Pictage user. In order to RSVP for the Tacoma PUG, please respond to the invitation sent out to all of the Pictage users in the Tacoma area.
