Angela studied in a one-on-one mentorship in fine-art photography beginning in 1999 with photographer, James Baker Hall. Jim took Angela under his wing and taught her the ins and outs of film photography and darkroom developing. She was heavily inspired by Jim's work and the work of Minor White and Ralph Eugene Meatyard. After a few years she put photography to the side to concentrate on a literature master's in South Carolina. After meeting her now husband, Gary Miller, a cinematographer, she was inspired to take back up the camera (now all digital workflow) in 2004. In less than three years she has seen her business grow rapidly and intensely, while her art grows along side of it. Angela's main concern is to offer contemporary glamour coupled with emotive visual experiences.
